A founding director of the firm, Julia has over 20 years of recruitment and consultancy services to corporate and blue chip clients and has been working in the business intelligence area since 1993, supporting corporate strategy and professional services firms, change management and investment banking.

Julia advises a number of discrete communities of practice in the Business Intelligence sector, including: Strategy & Planning; Competitive Intelligence; Business Communications and Organisational Learning. She actively supports the City Information Group and the Society of Competitor Intelligence Practitioners and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Julia has a special interest in professional development and is recognised for helping to focus, develop and encourage the career aspirations of candidates at all levels and in encouraging a higher profile for Intelligence practitioners within organisations.

David Thew
Joint Managing Director

David has worked within the online and electronic media marketplace since 1984 and has developed an extensive knowledge of the companies, individuals and commercial disciplines shaping and driving this market.

David and his team specialise in identifying and placing high calibre individuals in commercial and managerial roles in publishing, online content, financial information, and new media.

David works on the principle of excellence of client service, taking a consultative approach to working with clients, which allows him to build close working relationships with clients at a level that is rare within the recruitment field.

Jacques de Cock
Non-Executive Director

Jacques has over 20 years experience of consulting, technology, business creation and management in the UK, Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.

Jacques was the CEO of patsystems plc and took the company from a start-up, through a London Main market flotation and grew it to a ₤200m market capitalized company in 3 years. Prior to that Jacques was a Director of ICL Financial Services in the UK and France.

Jacques has also over 15 years experience as a consultant as a Vice President of Mercer Management Consultant, Principal of Booz.Allen in the UK, France and US and a founding Director of Spicer and Oppenheim Consultants.

Jacques is Belgian educated at Oxford University and the London Business School. He is our business 'Angel'.

Anne joined Intelligent Resources from a background in client service and Human Resources, having worked in the Media and in Insurance.

Anne specialises in business intelligence and global markets, and works extensively on our research and information specialist roles.
