COMMERCIAL MANAGER, DIGITAL PRODUCTS, ONLINE BUSINESS INFORMATION SERVICES
London
Salary on application
|
|
Our client is a market leader in the provision of press and online media monitoring, evaluation and campaign management tools for the public relations and corporate communications markets. The group offers both a core monitoring product and web-based added-value tools, collectively providing content and interactive support solutions at every stage in the PR lifecycle.
In line with current and projected growth, the group now wants to hire a Digital Product Manager with specific commercial responsibility for driving up revenues for the added-value products. The Digital Product Manager will effectively be a Commercial Manager, ‘owning’ all aspects of the commercial performance of the products.
This is a multilayered role; reporting to the Director of Product Development and Marketing, you will define the product strategy and roadmap, set the sales plan with the Sales Director and work with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the commercial strategy is communicated, understood and executed. Although you will not have direct line management responsibility you will co-ordinate the work of other key stakeholders across the business and have ‘shadow’ P&L responsibility for all value added products. Whilst product development experience will be an asset, this is not a product development role as such: you will have clear revenue targets and commercial goals and your key responsibility will be to manage the commercial performance of the product portfolio.
The ideal candidate will already be an experienced, product-focused business manager with a background in online product management but with wider commercial responsibilities for the products you manage. Specifically, you will have a demonstrable track record in driving up revenues and in harnessing the combined efforts of sales, marketing and product development teams to meet challenging growth targets. You will have the gravitas to speak with authority about the services to internal and external audiences alike.
This is a senior role with excellent career development potential and will suit someone with ambition, tenacity, energy and commercial flair.
